kite flying becomes crime

kite flying in lahore was a tradition; a file photo Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken strict notice of the incidents of kite flying in various parts of Lahore and two DSPs and four SHOs have been suspended.

They include DSP Mughalpura and DSP Badami Bagh besides SHO Mughalpura Husnain Ali Malik, SHO Shalimar Shabbir Awan, SHO Barki Ghulam Abbas and SHO Badami Bagh Muhammad Ashfaq. Show cause notices have also been issued to them.

The Chief Minister directed Inspector General Police Punjab to ensure strict implementation of the ban on kite flying and stern action be taken against the violators.
