Government is working harder to resolve energy crisis:Shahbaz Sharif

CM Punjab Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the government is working harder than the expectations of the people for resolving energy crisis and had the former rulers interest of the country at their heart, Pakistan would not have been facing load-shedding.CM Punjab

Talking to media on his arrival at Beijing today, the Chief Minister said that government is trying its best for ridding the people of load-shedding and his visit to China is a part of these efforts. He said that the basic purpose of his visit to China is to increase production of electricity however, he will also try to acquire cooperation of Chinese government and investors in transport and infrastructure sectors.

In reply to a question, the Chief Minister assured complete security to foreign investors. He said that Chinese engineers and workers working on energy projects in Punjab are completely satisfied with the security. He said he personally supervises arrangements for the guests.

Earlier, officials of Chinese company Harjan met Chief Minister Punjab and appreciating his services said that Shahbaz Sharif has infused a new energy into Pak-China relations.

Referring to coal-based projects, Shahbaz Sharif said that the cost of production of electricity from coal is less than thermal power. He said that one-window facilities have been arranged for the investors in coal power projects.
