LANDLORDS UNLEASH DOGS ON YOUTH

Lahore High Court Complaint Cell took notice of a press report on administrative side that influential landlords unleashed dogs on 18-year-old boy and tortured women.

The Cell has directed the District & Sessions Judge, Hafizabad to look into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by police along with his own comments within a week.

According to details, a student of fifth class was kidnapped for ransom from village Jagganwala. A nominated case of abduction was registered against landlords Abdul Jabbar and Abid etc. and Muhammad Asif stood witness in the case. In retaliation, the accused called Qasim, 18, the son of the witness at their Dera. They tortured the boy and left the dogs on him. The victim was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital. The accused also beat up the women of the witness family and they got head injuries. Police lodged a case under attempt to murder charges against the said landlords and arrested them.
