CM Punjab visit will promote Pak-India relations:Bikram Singh Majithia

CM PUNJAB (9)Lahore: Minister for Revenue and Public Relations of Indian Punjab, Bikram Singh Majithia has described Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to India as a new chapter in the promotion of Pak-India relations.

According to Times of India, Bikram Singh Majithia said that the visit of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will result in stability of ties and promotion of trust-building measures between Pakistan and India.

He said that due to the visit of Shahbaz Sharif, not only Pakistani and Indian Punjab will come closer but also expected to leave a far-reaching impact on the relations between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, during his 3-day visit to India, spent a very busy day, today. From the airport, he went straight to Delhi Prime Minister’s House and met Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

After the meeting he visited waste management plant and got information that how electricity is generated from garbage and how much it costs. Despite foul smell, the Chief Minister remained there for two hours and sought information. He also travelled by metro train.

The Chief Minister went to Jamia Masjid Delhi where thousands of people gathered and some of them also kissed the hands of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The Chief Minister also met Shahi Imam. He gave interviews to various media channels and also met a number of delegations.
