LHC notice a boy’s death by his employer

Lahore: Lahore High Court on Wednesday took notice on a press report that a boy was tortured to death by his three employers. District & Sessions Judge, Sahiwal has been directed to look into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.

According to details, a 13-year-old Waqas Anjum worked in the shop of Muhammad Suleman and his partners Muhammad Khalid and Muzamil at Chak 105/7R. A theft incident took place in their shop some days ago. The shop owners hired a detective, who investigated and told them that their employee Waqas was involved in the theft.

On the day of incident, accused Suleman, Khalid and Muzamil went to the house of Waqas and took him to their farmhouse (dera) where they allegedly tortured him. When the victim fell unconscious, the accused threw him outside his house. He died on way to the District Headquarters Hospital.

LHC Complaint Cell took notice of the news on administrative side and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report in a week.
