ITC 2013 Pakistan would be held on December 9 in Lahore

Lahore: An International Textile & Clothing Conference (ITC) 2013 Pakistan would be held on December 9 in Lahore under the aegis of Punjab government and Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT). Prominent speakers from around the world and Pakistan would address the conference. The ITC would be a unique initiative for promotion and empowerment of textile and clothing sector of Pakistan.

This was informed by Director General (Project, Policy & Research), PBIT Dr. Ali Naveed Pirzada, CEO, Matrix Sourcing, Azfar Hassan and Chairman Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PREGMEA) Punjab Chapter Sajid Saleem Minhas while addressing a Press conference regarding the arrangements of ITC.

They informed that the keynote speakers for the conference consist of national and international leaders from the textile sector, including Per Gasseholm, President, Global Apparel Brands, Inc, Amit Gugnani, Senior Vice President, Technopak Advisors Pvt. Ltd., India and Mian Mansha, Chairman Nishat Group. The ITC aims at establishing universally recognized performance benchmarks in the Pakistani textile sector as well as providing a networking forum for various stakeholders in the industry. ITC 2013 will provide a unique opportunity to investors, suppliers and students to benefit from the expertise of the best minds in the industry. The theme for ITC 2013 is “Pakistan’s Industry – Integrated & Collaborating for Today & Tomorrow.”

It was told that the conference will see a convergence of buyers, sellers, service providers, suppliers of materials and equipment, government organizations, policy makers and the media. The conference will also host representatives of significant importers as well representatives of local and international bodies and Trade Associations. The conference will be divided into three chapters, General Business Environment, Innovation and Manufacturing Excellence. Each chapter will consist of several independent sessions.Explaining about the core goals &objectives of the conference, Dr. Ali Naveed Pirzada, Azfar Hassan and Sajid Saleem Minhas informed that important and relevant issues of the Industry would be discussed and keynote speakers, and experts, will be available for one on one sessions and discussions.  The conference would provide an excellent opportunity to various stakeholders who otherwise lack the platform to communicate and build partnerships to network with global movers in the Textile & Clothing Trade.
