Punjab Irrigation Department issues a schedule for annual closure of canals

Lahore: The Punjab Irrigation Department has issued a schedule for annual closure of canals during Rabi 2013-14.

According to the schedule, canals pertaining to Project Management Office (PMO), Punjab Barrages, the Thal Canal, which off takes from Jinnah Barrage and Lower Chenab Canal (except Jhang Branch) that emerges from Khanki Headworks, shall remain closed from January 13 to 30, 2014.
