ISPR had no right to serve a notice to JI Ameer: Liaqat Baloch

Liaqat blochLahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that a political government being there, the armed forces and the ISPR had no right to serve a notice on the head of a political party or to issue a press release, as this was a violation of the country’s constitution.

Talking to the media persons at Mansoora, he said, there were no two opinions in regard to the martyrdom of the military personal.

The JI Secretary General said the Pakistani nation stood united for an end to the drone attacks, however the US stooges were trying to provide a legal cover to these attacks.

He said that the former military dictator Pervez Musharraf who surrendered to the US demands and interests on a single phone call and plunged the country into a war that as not our war, was responsible for the entire situation. .

The JI Secretary General said the political and religious parties had a right to criticize the JI, however the nation was aware of their views about the armed forces and their institutions expressed from time to time.

He said that since the 9/11, the JI had consistently maintained that the

US was at war with Islam and the Muslims, therefore, it was not lawful for any Muslim country to support the US war in any manner. The JI had stuck to its view and time and the developments had vindicated its stance fully.

Liaqat Baloch said there was no difference of opinion regarding the martyrdom of the civilians and the military personnel or the security forces killed in drone attacks.

He said the US had developed numerous foot roots in Pakistan because of its influence and its stooges ere trying hard to provide any justification for its so-called war on terror and the drone attacks. As and when the public opinion was built against these, US agents were successful in moulding public opinion in favour of the US.

Liaqat Baloch said the JI was firm on its principled stance and would not yield to any pressure. The rulers, he said, had chosen a wrong path which had led to dreadful results for the nation. It was time that the policy makers reviewed their policies that had ruined the country and the nation. He said if the government stopped the NATO supplies and drone attacks, the whole scenario would change.

He said that the US would ultimately have to stop drone attacks and the government would have to stop NATO supplies as well. Plunging into the US war had been a blunder on our part due to which the country had to face incalculable losses.

He told a questioner that so far, the JI had not written any letter to the government or the Prime Minister.

Earlier, addressing a seminar against Interest based economy held at Mansoora, Liaqat Baloch said that the interest system had shattered the country’s economy. He said that the economic progress of the country was not possible through the interested based economic system.

Meanwhile, a resolution adopted the seminar expressed s deep concern over the Federal Shariat Court decision adjourning the hearing of an appeal against the Supreme Court judgment concerning interest, for indefinite period.

The resolution said that the governments giving protection to the interested based system were in fact at war with Allah and His prophet as clearly pronounced in the Holy Quran. It appealed to the Federal Shariat Court to take  strict notice of the delaying tactics being adopted by the government and its  lawyers penal in this respect. .

The seminar was also addressed by Maulana Abdul Ma’lik, Maulana Zahidur Rashidi, Maulana Amir Hamza, former Member, Sarfraz Khan, Dr Muhammad Amin, Hafiz A’akif Waheed, I.A .Farooq, Muhammad Yaqub Sheikh, and others.
