Officials to donate one day salary to PM Relief Fund

Lahore: All the officers of the Punjab government of grade-16 and above will donate their one-day salary to the Prime Minister Relief Fund for the rehabilitation of the earthquake affected people of the Balochistan to show solidarity with them.

This was decided in the administrative Secretaries meeting here on Monday held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Punjab Javed Aslam. The meeting was attended by all the administrative secretaries of the Punjab including Additional Chief Secretary Sohail Aamir, Home Secretary Maj. (Retd.) Azam Suleman, Secretary Services Syed Mubashir Raza, Secretary Auqaf Muhammad Saqib Aziz, Secretary Information and Culture Momin Agha and Director General PDMA Capt. (Retd.) Muhammad Asif were also present in the meeting.Chief Sec Punjab (1)

All the administrative secretaries offered Fateha for the casualties due to the earthquake in Balochistan. The meeting was informed that Punjab government has already sent three C-130 planes of food items, medicines, emergency medical equipment, water purifiers, blankets, tents and other necessary items for the earthquake victims. It was also discussed in the meeting that field hospitals of the PDMA should be sent to Balochistan for the affectees.

The Chief Secretary instructed the administrative secretaries to make arrangements for the collection of fund and other necessary items for sending to the Balochistan for the earthquake affectees. He said that the Punjab government and the people of Punjab would make their all out efforts for the assistance and rehabilitation of the earthquake victims in Balochistan.

He explained that Punjab government is working on a comprehensive plan for the relief and rehabilitation of earthquake victims of Balochistan. He said that the Punjab government and the people stood with the earthquake victims of Balochistan.

The Chief Secretary has also appealed to the people of Punjab to donate generously in Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for earthquake victims of Balochistan.
