Raja Ashfaq Sarwar condoles the death of Haider Ali

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Labour & Human Resources Raja Ashfaq Sarwar while condoling the death of Haider Ali, a student of Workers Welfare School Gulshan Colony Gujranwala with his parents, has said that the culprits involved in this crime would be brought to condign justice.

Expressing his condolences with Zaigham Hussain, father of Haider Ali, the Minister expressed deep sense of grief and sorrow and said that he equally shares his grief. Secretary Labour Punjab, Capt. Retd. Muhammad Yousuf, Acting Commissioner Gujranwala Division Tariq Javed Malik, SSP Operation Ata Muhammad Mayo, SP Civil Lines Shoaib Khurram and DEO Labour Zaigham Abbass were also present on the occasion. Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that a 4-member committee, consisting of Director Education Punjab Workers Welfare Board Dr. Arshad, Deputy Director Education Miss Sughra Imam, DEO Labour Gujranwala Zaigham Abbass and labour leader Zubar Ranjha, has been formed to probe the matter.

The Provincial Minister said that the school staff has also failed to fulfill its responsibilities and the committee would review the conduct of school staff in this regard. Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, in a meeting at Circuit House Gujranwala, sought information about this incidence from the officers of police and Labour Departments. Later, the Minister visited Labours Workers Welfare School Gulshan Colony and inquired about the incident from the staff. He was told that the students are taken to buses on GT road by school staff in queue upon which the Minister directed the administration should use small vehicles instead of big buses for transportation of students from inside school. Acting Commissioner Tariq Javed Malik assured the Minister that the administration will arrange small vehicles at the earliest so that the students should not come on road.
