Court has overstepped its jurisdiction in Lal Masjid case:APML

Pervaiz MusharrafLahore: All Pakistan Muslim League has said that High Court had overstepped its jurisdiction in Lal Masjid cleric murder case filed against Pervaiz Musharraf.

Dr. Raza Bokhari, International spokesperson and North American Point of Contact of General Musharraf, issued the following statement to various media outlets:

This is yet another example in which the courts of Pakistan are over-stepping their jurisdiction in their quest to continue victimizing Former President Musharraf.

The Lal Masjid operation, similar to the operation against militant Nawab Akbar Bugti, was a military operation and under the Constitution of Pakistan is not open to scrutiny by the High Court.

This vicious vendetta against the Former President must stop. This is not only a witch hunt against General Musharraf, but is also functionally dragging Pakistan Military actions in to Courts that do not have jurisdiction over them. Nothing good will come out of this unwarranted judicial activism, should it continue unchecked.
