Crimes trends are changing in the present era: IGP Khan Baig

DSC_0094DSC_0080DSC_0101Lahore: Since the crimes trends are changing in the present era, there is a dire need to ensure modern and specialized training for the policemen in the police training institutes.

As per the vision of the Punjab government, the specialized training would be imparted to the officials at the Police Training Center Chuhng rather than relying on the traditional education only. This specialized training would help policemen become crime-fighters in real sense.

Inspector General of Police (Punjab), Khan Baig, stated this while addressing the passing-out parade of 484 policemen on the completion of 50th Lower Course at the Police Training Center Chung today. Additional-IG Training Mubarak Ali Athar and Commandant Police Training Center Chung Ahmed Mubarak Ahmed were also present on this occasion besides a number of other senior police officers.

The provincial police chief said that the specialized courses would be categorized in three sections including Operations, Investigations, and intelligence collection. The recruits would be provided training in these three categories so that they could play their role in effectively in the practical field.

IGP Punjab also stressed upon the officials that following their postings in the police stations, they should behave politely with the public and helping the victims must be their top priority. The IGP also directed Commandant Police Training Center Chung Ahmed Mubarak Ahmed to prepare a summary to reward the best recruits keeping in view their behaviour and discipline in order to encourage the outstanding recruits besides the position holders.

On this occasion, the IGP Punjab lauded the services of Commandant Police Training Center Chung Ahmed Mubarak Ahmed and announced that the cash award would be doubled for the officials.

Earlier, an active police squad presented guard of honour to the IGP Punjab.
