Secretary Health assures Drs for early PSB

Lahore: Secretary Health Punjab Hassan Iqbal has directed the officers of the department to complete working papers for the promotion of associate professors (grade-19) to the posts of professors (grade-20) must be completed by July 22nd so that Chief Secretary may be approached for holding the meeting of Provincial Selection Board (PSB).

He issued these directions while talking to a 7-member delegation of Pakistan Medical Association which called on him in his office here today. The PMA delegation included Dr. Tanvir Anwar, President PMA Lahore, Dr. Izhar Ch. General Secretary, Dr. Ibrar Ashraf Ali, Dr. Asma Ansari, Dr. Kamran Saeed, Dr. Ehsan ur Rehman, Dr. Zia Zulqarnain, Dr. Masood Akhtar Sheikh and Dr. Haq Nawaz Bharwana. The meeting was also attended by Additional Secretaries of Health Department Dr. Usman Ali Khan, Asfand Yar Khan, Dr. Anwar Janjua, Deputy Secretaries Rana Saleem. Shahansha Faisal and Dr. Mohsin. During the meeting various issues of the doctors came under discussion including ban on ex-Pakistan leave, seniority list of the doctors, adhoc and regular appointment of doctors and issue of faculty of new medical colleges.  Secretary Health assured the delegation that noHeaHe

hurdle would be tolerated and all the bottlenecks would be removed in the way of promotion of doctors, preparation of seniority list and other matters. He said that the issues of doctors’ community are being solved on priority basis.

Secretary Health Hassan Iqbal also directed the concerned Additional Secretary to finalize working papers of 175 APMOs/APWMOs (grade-19) for their promotion as PMOs and PWMOs (grade-20) by 25th July 2013.  He asked the PMA delegation that such doctors whose ACRs or other documents are incomplete should immediately deposit their complete documents to the department so that their case be considered for promotion.
