Motorway Police to launch. public awairness campaign

Lahore:On the directions of Zulfiqar Cheema Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police ,  N-5 Central observed a four-hour long special patrolling of “Public Awareness in Friendly Atmosphere” to impart Road Safety Education  as well as strict enforcement of traffic rules irrespective of one’s rank or status. On this occasion road safety stalls were installed at prominent point’s on highways. Special briefing sessions were conducted by patrol officers of NH&MP to educate the people about adopting safety measures. IG Zulfiqar Cheema also directed all the DIGs & SSPs to personally monitor the progress of and performance of the patrolling officers during these hours.

During the special patrolling the DIG Dr Muhammed Shafiq   himself briefed the road users on national highways & motorways and distributed road safety material among public. SSP Mirza Faran Baig was also present on the occasion.

On this occasion DIG Dr. Muhammed Shafiq directed the Patrol officers to uphold high standards of sophistication while dealing violators and perform their duties with full zeal and zest. He further advised them to flourish the culture of soft policing to ensure soft but firm policing. He further directed them to take strict action against all kind of traffic violations.
