Hizb ut-Tahrir rejects Purchasing Electricity from India

Lahore: On 20th June 2013, Pakistan’s Minister for Water and Power, Khwaja Asif announced to the nation the dreadful news of purchasing electricity form our enemy, India. Hizb ut-Tahrir denounces and severely condemns this treacherous act of the Kayani-Sharif regime, which will hold the nation and its economy ransom to India.

The current electricity crisis in Pakistan is a consequence of criminal policies of successive government’s since the early nineties. Pakistan has been blessed with a great wealth of river water, which is still a cheap way to produce electricity in the world. But the dictators and democratic rulers on the one hand deliberately were obstacles to electricity production through our local river water, whilst on the other hand they kept complete silence as Indian aggressively built a number of dams on our waters, in order to stop their flow towards Pakistan. Can Kayani-Sharif government tell the nation that how will purchasing electricity from India strengthen the economy of Pakistan, a Hindu state that is building dams, one after the other, in order to strangle our economy? This step is like surrendering in front of the enemy, without even firing a single bullet. Whoever does this is always considered a traitor.

Actually the traitor rulers want to tie the economy of Pakistan with that of India, so that they can surrender on every issue in front of India, as both democratic and dictator rulers have been surrendering against American demands, which are against the interest of Pakistan, for the last twelve years, on a false plea that we can not live a single day without the help of America as our economy and defense is heavily dependent on her. So when on a regular basis food stuff, industrial raw material and electricity will be purchased from India, she will have complete control on our share of water. Then these same rulers will repeat the same argument for surrendering the interests of Pakistan in front of India.

The Ummah must know that both democracy and dictator ship are American horses. According to the instruction of its masters, the Kayani-Sharif regime has been bribing India by compromising the interests of Pakistan, in order to bring her into the American camp. In order to stop any resistance from the people to this American plan, the people have been drowned in this electricity crisis, so that when these traitors go ahead with this treachery, the people will be in no position to account them because of the weakness that the rulers themselves caused.

Hizb ut-Tahrir demands from the Muslims of Pakistan that they must reject the treachery of Kayani-Sharif government and account them harshly. Hizb ut-Tahrir asks from the sincere officers in the armed forces that after accepting American hegemony, will they accept the India domination as well? Will they accept that nuclear Pakistan is left with no other option and is compelled to purchase electricity from India? Should the nuclear armed Pakistan play the role of a cheap tout for America to lure India in order to bring her in American camp? Will you merely watch silently as this treachery and indignity unfolds? No officers! You must stand up! Uproot this Kufer colonialist capitalist system and the traitors with in the political and military leadership, give Nussrah to Hizb ut-Tahrir under its Ameer Hizb ut-Tahrir, Shaikh Ata Bin Khalil Abu Rushda for the return of Khilafah to these Muslim Lands. In order to end electricity crisis, Khilafah will end the colonialist polices, put the Muslims on the path of self reliance and restore the lost dignity and honor of this nation and its armed forces.
