First and foremost aim of a student’s life must be to gain knowledge:, Amjad Islam Amjad

22-6-13_Amjad-Islam-AmjadLahore : The renowned intellectual, writer and poet, Amjad Islam Amjad, has observed that the goal of the establishment of Pakistan was the formation of an ideal society where justice was available to all and sundry and everyone could lead a life of freedom in accordance with their beliefs.

The first and foremost aim of a student’s life must be to gain knowledge. Regardless of one’s age, one must have a deep sense of responsibility, and a keen desire to improve one’s faculties of wisdom and sagacity through whatever means possible. Filling up every lacuna in the foundation of one’s learning means incessant successes.

These were the ideas and thoughts expressed by him on the 13th day of the Ideological Summer School jointly organized by Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and Tehreek-i-Pakistan Workers Trust at the Aiwan-i-Karkunaan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan, 100-Shahrah-i-Quaid-i-Azam, Lahore.

The Summer School will be running for a period of one month. Professor Dr. Rafique Ahmad, Vice Chairman of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and Secretary Shahid Rashid were also present on the occasion. The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, a na’at and the national anthem. Mr. Amjad Islam Amjad offered some useful tips as to how to become a good writer and poet. Later, a session of questions and answers was held during which some interesting and thought-provoking queries were posed.

Prizes were given away at the end of the programme.
