PIO student Shama Sarwar tops UHS examination

Miss Shamsa SarwarLahore: Miss Shama Sarwar, a student of Pakistan Institute of Ophthalmology (PIO) Rawalpindi has secured first position in the First Professional Examination of B. Sc (Hons) Optometry and Orthoptics.

Lahore: Shama Sarwar, a brilliant student, bagged over 91 per cent numbers in the examination conducted by University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore, Al Shifa Trust announced on Tuesday.

Moreover, PIO students showed 90 per cent results which is a great achievement. President and Executive Committee of Al Shifa Trust in a meeting congratulated the Dean Professor Dr Wajid Ali Khan and his team for the achievement.

Shama Sarwar said that she would try to enhance skills through advanced medical courses to serve the ailing humanity.

Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital is a WHO Collaborating Centre for the prevention and control of blindness and apex institution of eye care in the country.

PIO is the teaching wing of Al Shifa and pioneer institute in field of Optometry and Orthoptics that is running courses for post graduate doctors and allied eye care professionals since eighteen years.
