Ombudsman staff to pay field visits on every Wednesday

Lahore: Ombudsman Punjab Javed Mehmood has directed all advisors at Ombudsman Headquarters and regional offices to pay field visits on every Wednesday.

A circular has been issued in this regard. According to the schedule, twelve advisors will pay field visits to Lahore and its surrounding areas on Wednesday June 5, three to Sargodha, two to Rawalpindi and two to various areas of Multan.

Ombudsman Punjab informed that all advisors will pay on the spot visits in accordance with the complaints received by Ombudsman Punjab as well as the news items of print and electronic media. He said that the advisors will also look into public problems. He said that people will be able to submit their applications and written complaints to the advisors on the spot while Ombudsman office will later contact them and give them computerized tracking numbers. He said that advisors will submit reports of the maladministration and the observations during their visits to Ombudsman Punjab in the light of which further action will be taken. Mohtasib Punjab said that the process of reaching out to the people for providing them relief has been started and it will yield positive results.
