LHC notice murder of a woman after rape

Lahore High Court on Friday took notice of the news published in a section of press regarding murder of a woman after alleged rape. District & Sessions Judge, Lahore has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.

According to details, a woman resident of Pajian Chowk of Raiwind got married 4 years back and had a baby but due to domestic disputes, husband divorced her. One day, she went out of house and did not turn up. Her parents reported to Raiwind City Police Station about their daughter’s missing but the next day her body was found in nearby fields. Police said that she was killed after alleged rape and brutal torture. A case has been registered and investigation started.

LHC Complaint Cell took serious notice of the news and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report within a week positively.
