UN Security Council to convene emergency meetings on the Bangladesh:Liaqat Baloch

Lahore: Chairman, Human Rights Network, Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch,
has called upon the UN Security Council and the OIC to convene their emergency meetings on the Bangladesh situation where JI Bangladesh leaders were being tried for so called war crimes.

In a statement here on Monday, he said that the world community and human rights bodies were terming the trials of the JI leaders in Bangladesh as bogus. The world at large especially the Bangladesh masses were protesting against the fascist policies of the Hasina Wajid government in Dhaka but the BD government was least bothered. The Dhaka government even did not allow 91 year old, former JI Bangladesh chief Prof. Ghulam Azam, to offer the funeral prayer of his younger brother in blatant disregard for human rights.

The JI workers and leaders all over Bangladesh were being victimized, hundreds of them had been assassinated and thousands of them had been jailed while their properties were being set on fire.
