David Miliband possibly to become the SG of IHRC

Islamabad: David Milliband , Member of British Parliament, who has served the British Government as Foreign secretary and Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs will possibly become the Secretary General of the International Human Rights Commission, as offered by IHRC Chief.

Mr. David was elected as a Member Parliament for South Shields in 2001 to UK Parliament. In June 2002, he was appointed as School’s Minister, where he helped introduce thousands of New Teaching Assistants to Classrooms. He has been serving in the Cabinet Office since 2004 as cabinet minister and in 2005; he became Minister of State for Communities in Local Government.

In May 2006, he became Secretary of State of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. In June 2007, he was the Foreign Secretary, the youngest for 30 years.

He serves his constituents in South Shields as a backbench Member of Parliament, focused on the issue of youth unemployment, chairing ACEVO Commission on youth unemployment.

The World Chairman of the International Human Rights Commission, Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan has appreciated the services of David Miliband in Reconciliation efforts between the Nations States.
The World Chairman, H.E Ambassador Dr.Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan had offered him the position of Secretary General of IHRC with the approval of Ambassadors of IHRC, H.E Miliband assured to consider the request in principle.

H.E Miliband is likely to join IHRC HQ very soon.
