No society can progress without fully integrating the special persons:Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Former CM Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif said that no society can truly progress without fully integrating the special persons in to the system. He made the comments while visiting the The Oasis School, Pakistan’s first fully equipped school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) and with special needs.

The former CM added that the Sharif Family never used charity projects for political mileage as the family firmly believes that it is simply unfair to do so and hurts the charity work done.

Mian Shahbaz Sharif added that when he took over, the budget for Special Education was extremely low but in the last five years, PML – N’s government not only improved the budget but added more teachers for special education and ensured proper transportation service for the special needs children so they could attend school. He encouraged people to contribute resources and time for education of special children across Pakistan as this what responsible societies do.

The Former CM lauded the efforts of the CEO of Oasis School, Ayesha Haroon, for running a visionary institute that helps special children.
