Lahore: A positive revolution in the country can only be brought about by the power of the ballot. Hence, it is imperative for the people to vote for the candidates who are able, honest and have a firm belief in the ideology of Pakistan. These were the ideas expressed by Professor Dr. Rafique Ahmad, Vice Chairman of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust during his address to the students and teachers from the Riphah International University, Lahore Campus who had arrived on a study tour of the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan. The Deputy Director of the above-cited university, Dr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain, was also present at this occasion.
The programme, conducted by Syed Abid Hussain Shah, commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran, a na’at and the national anthem.
Professor Dr. Rafique Ahmad observed that Pakistan came into being on the basis of the Two-Nation Theory, as the Muslims and Hindus were two entirely different nations. It was Allama Iqbal who presented the concept of a separate Islamic state. Our object is to create awareness about the ideology of Pakistan in the new generation, which envisages the establishment of an ideal Islamic society. Starting from scratch, we have managed to raise an infrastructure. God has conferred a measure of prosperity on by His grace. A uniform curriculum is the need of the hour. The Quaid-i-Azam used to recommend technical education to the students.
The doctor employed the multi-media aids while explaining the Two-Nation Theory.Dr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain observed that the students intensely loved Pakistan but had scanty information about their beloved homeland. The visit to the Aiwan had fulfilled a pressing need of the students. The students also visited the picture gallery of the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tahreek-i-Pakistan.
