People will eliminate all symbols of corruption in general elections:Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Punjab government of Pakistan Muslim League-N has served the masses, during the last five years, with complete sincerity, dedication and honesty, over which his heart and soul is satisfied. He said we are proud that we have served the people of Punjab, during the last five years, and the performance of Punjab government has not only been appreciated by impartial national, but by international institutions as well. He said serving the people is basic aim of PML-N, and the trust of the people over our performance is the biggest certificate for us. He said Pakistan Muslim League-N has presented a revolutionary manifesto for general elections, and it would field such candidates who are imbued with the spirit of national service and they will achieve success during the elections, because of the splendid performance of the party. He said PML-N would establish new records of national service, after again coming into power, and transform Pakistan into a country as envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal, under the dynamic leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

The Chief Minister was addressing separate meetings of leaders and office-bearers of Pakistan Muslim League-N, belonging to Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Lahore Divisions at Pakistan Muslim League-N Central Secretariat Model Town, today. Senior leaders, former Provincial Ministers, Members Assembly as well as presidents and general secretaries of PML-N of District and City Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Chiniot, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal, Sialkot, Hafizabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nanka Sahib and Kasur were also present on the occasion.

Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that steps taken for the development of the province and betterment of the common man reflect people-friendly policies of PML-N. He said development projects, which are spread all over the province, are witness to the fact that Pakistan Muslim League-N has taken every step for the progress and prosperity of the people. He said Pakistan Muslim League-N has always kept national interest as uppermost because service to the people is its main aim and not to get into power. He said Pakistan Muslim League-N has implemented revolutionary programmes, during the last five years, and has made the prosperity and provision of relief to the people as its basic agenda. He said Zardari gang has destroyed national economy, due to its loot and plunder, and has pushed the country and the people into a vortex of difficulties and problems. He said former federal rulers looted the country for the last five years and every day dawned with new scandals of corruption of Zardari gang. He said people are relieved over the departure of Peoples Party and its cronies who had deprived the people of their livelihoods. He said 18 crore people are now hopeful about the agenda of Pakistan Muslim League-N, and they want the country to achieve similar progress and prosperity, which has been achieved in Punjab, during the last five years.

Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said general elections are extremely important for the survival and solidarity of the country, and people would eradicate all symbols of corruption, through the power of their vote. He said every Pakistani is ashamed over loot, plunder and corruption of Zardari gang, but they would have to be accountable for every looted penny, and people would ensure it through the power of their votes. He hoped people would elect only sincere, honest and dedicated leadership in general elections and vowed that if, people gave another opportunity, the destiny of the nation would be changed, under the dynamic leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, and the country would be purged of corruption.

Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif called upon PML-N office-bearers to conduct their election campaign as a sacred mission, because these general elections are to save and build Pakistan. He said the nation has to decide whether to vote for those who have given them “gifts” of lawlessness, unemployment and loadshedding or to those who are determined to change the destiny of the nation. He said, under present circumstance the country needs dynamic leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, who understands the problems of the people, and has full capability to solve them. Talking on the occasion Muslim League leaders and office-bearers said that the role of PML-N is before everyone for ensuring strength of democratic system and predominance of law and constitution. He said Pakistan Muslim League-N would be the first choice of the people during the general elections.
