H.E. Daniel Taub becomes Israel’s first Ambassador to IMO

Mr. Soji Sekimizu, Secretary General of the IMO and H.E. Daniel TaubOn Thursday, 14 March 2013, HE Ambassador Daniel Taub presented his credentials to Mr. Soji Sekimizu, Secretary General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). Ambassador Taub emphasised the growing importance of the maritime space for Israel and shared with the Secretary General the agenda Israel intends to pursue within the organisation in the coming year.

The IMO is the United Nations specialised agency with responsibility for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution by ships.
