Shahbaz Sharif proves himself a jackal of all trades

734397_515923585112919_917680989_nLahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that with the completion of modern sports complex in Johar Town, citizens have been made available excellent indoor and outdoor sports facilities. This modern sports complex, spread over an area of 40 kanals, has been completed in a record time, at a cost of one billion rupees, while the cost of its infrastructure is Rs. 40 crore. He said this modern sports complex is an invaluable gift of Punjab government to the citizens, where separate sports facilities have been made available for men and women. He said modern swimming pools have been constructed in the sports complex, which is the first organized and beautiful sports complex of Lahore, having a captivating landscape, for which Director General LDA, who is also hero of metro bus project, deserves appreciation.

The Chief Minister expressed these views at the inaugural ceremony of modern sports complex at Johar Town today. Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Members Assembly Afzal Khokhar, Rana Ijaz Ahmed Khan, DG LDA and a large number of people of the area were present on the occasion. The Chief Minister inaugurated the sports complex and offered dua. Later, he visited the sports complex and reviewed sports facilities available there. CM also played a number of games including Chess, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Snooker. The youth expressed their excitement of having this Sports Complex and thanked the CM.



During his address at the inaugural ceremony at modern sports complex at Johar Town, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif strongly criticized baseless allegations leveled by a big Khan Sahib, Deputy Prime Minister and Qamar-uz-Zaman Kaira over transparency of metro bus project. He said Transparency International Pakistan had written them a letter to give proofs of corruption but they became tongue-tied and their hands started shaking. He said it is a slap on the face of the opponents that no corruption of even a single penny has been proved, in a project worth Rs. 30 billion. After inauguration of sports complex, Chief Minister reviewed available sports facilities and played snooker with players in billiard room, carom board in carom room, besides playing table tennis, lawn tennis, and badminton. The Chief Minister also appreciated players wholeheartedly for their splendid display of aerobics. The Chief Minister also watched a competition of tug-of-war. The Chief Minister termed DG LDA Ahad Khan Cheema as hero of metro bus project and construction of sports complex. He said, due to hard work of DG LDA, this splendid gift has been provided to the people of the area.
