Education stipends is being provided to 50 thousand students :Kh Salman Rafique

Lahore: Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that Punjab government is providing Khawaja Salman Rafique from endowment fund which has been established at a cost of ten billion rupees. He said no one can stop those students to progress in life who acquire education with hard work and dedication. He said laptop and solar energy panels distribution among position holder students by Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has created an healthy atmosphere of competition among students.

Khawaja Salman Rafique was addressing solar energy panel distribution ceremony among position holders students at govt. Dyal Singh college here today during which principal Prof. Dr. Tahir Yaqub and a large number of teachers and students were present. Khawaja Salman Rafique said that only disciplined nations achieved progress in history and become successful. He called upon students to respect their national heroes and recognized personalities of religion and value their teachings. He said Punjab government has served the people of the province under the dynamic leadership of Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and people were give their verdict in forthcoming general elections in this regard.

Khawaja Salman Rafique said that dengue virus had created terror in 2011 but Punjab government controlled the virus with collective effort of the people, as a result of which there is no fear now. Condemning the tragic incident at Badami Bagh, Khawaja Salman Rafique said such incidents weaken the society and the country and we have to forged unity among our ranks and eliminate such elements who damage the country and the nation. Khawaja Salman Rafique called upon students to perform social work in their spare time to help the weak segment of the society and to create awareness among the general public about dengue virus and other illnesses.

Earlier, principal of the college Prof. Tahir Yaqub said that government should allocate quota in prize schemes for students of education institutions which are backward and with weak record so that all big prizes are not won by students study and good academic institutions. He said this would provide encouragements to students of such educational institutions where children from poor and backward areas acquire their education.
