Senator Kamran Michael condemns Punjab Govt for torching Christian houses

Lahore: Senator Kamran Michael, while strongly condemning
the incident of setting ablaze the houses of Christians in Badami
Bagh, said that it is not justice to give punishment to others against the crime of one person.

In a statement here today, Senator Kamran Michael said that despite the arrest of the concerned culprit, the properties of Christian community were damaged which is highly condemnable. He said that he always supported religious harmony and tolerance and expressed solidarity with our Muslim brethren. He said being a patriotic Pakistani, all efforts being made for the promotion of religious harmony and peace will be supported but those misusing the law cannot be supported. Kamran Michael said he will raise the issue of protection of life and property of the minorities in Senate. He
also appealed to the Uleam to play their role in this regard and
identify those who are involved in this heinous incident.

Kamran Michael further said that being a patriot minority citizen, he will continue to play his positive role and promote peace in the teachings of all religions, Holy books and Holy Prophets.
