Lahore: A meeting was held between Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and the head of Muslim League Functional Pir Pagara, here today. Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Assembly Members Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, Khawaja Saad Rafique, senior leaders of Muslim League Functional Imtiaz Sheikh, Muhammad Ali Durani and others were also present on the occasion.
Political satiation in the country and matters regarding cooperation in general elections were discussed on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that Punjab government of Pakistan Muslim League-N has rendered record public service during the last five years due to which PML-N has become the most popular party of the country and its popularity is growing day by day. He said that Pakistan is passing through a critical phase and facing serious challenges of terrorism, extremism, loadshedding, poverty and unemployment. He said that federal rulers have badly failed in resolving people’s problems during the last five years.
The Chief Minister said that the forthcoming elections are not for change of government but for the survival of the country and the masses will elect such representatives who have utilized national resources for public welfare while they will reject those who remained engaged in corruption and plunder.
