Lahore: Chairman All Pakistan Newspaper Employees Confederation, Shafiuddin Ashraf and Secretary General Ikram Bukhari appreciated the efforts of information minister, Qamar Zaman Qaira and prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on the constitution of 8th Wage Board by the government and hoped that the announcement of 8th Wage Board Award will be an example of consensus between employees and the newspaper owners and it will bring closer to the employee and employer. They also expected all the matters would be resolved peacefully.
While addressing the MEDIA WORKERS CONVENTION in Multan Press Club, Secretary General Ikraam Bukhari emphasized the workers to perform their duties in professional manners and to play their vital role in promoting newspapers publications and TV channels.
Delegations and Representatives of different CBA Unions from all Pakistan attended the conference that include Chairman Karachi APNEC, Mirza Imran Baig, Jameel Ahmed (Jang Karachi), Rana Muhammad Yousuf (Javed Press Union Karachi), Rishad Mehmood (Dawn Karachi), Shakeel Khan, Dara Zafar, Tawakal Hussain Rizvi (The news Karachi), Ubaidullah, Mansoor Yousuf, Osma Abassi, Fawad Ahmed (MediaWorkers Organization, Karachi), AbdusSmad Mengal (Jang, Quetta), M Tyab Mumaz, Asim Latif Chaudiry, Hafiz Shahid Saeed (Media Workers Organization Lahore), Ishtiaq Ahmed (Media Workers Organization Rawalpindi\Islamabad), Ahsan Khaliq, Mehr Rashid, Chaudri Ashraf, Asif Shah, Jabbar Bukhari, M Saleem, Shehbaz Laiq, Zafar Shah, Baig, Hamid Hussain (Media Workers Organization Multan).
Participants of the NEC meeting also passed two resolutions demanding Information Minister to include the genuine names in 8th Wage Board given by APNEC. Another Resolution was also passed by participants in the meeting that including any non-representative would be condemned and would be legally challenged.
In the end, Chairman APNEC Shafiuddin Ashraf and Secretary General Ikram Bukhari congratulated the host Media Workers Organization Multan and all other participants from all over the country to hold a successful NEC meeting.
