Time for preparations for general elections not for unification of leagues:Ch Shujaat

Photo CSH 01 {March02-13}Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain, senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi and Tariq Bashir Cheema held a meeting with Bahawalpur Awami National Party chief Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi at his residence here today.
Afterwards talking to media, Ch Shujat Hussain along with Ch Parvez Elahi and Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi said that both the parties have agreed to form electoral alliance in the next general elections at the level of Bahawalpur Division in three districts and a two member committee has been formed for evolving future line of action. The Committee includes Tariq Bashir Cheema from PML and Malik Farooq Azam from Bahawalpur ANP.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that we have very deep relations with Nawab Sahib. In reply to a question about unification of Muslim Leagues, he said that Pir Pagara and his father have also been trying for unification of the Muslim Leagues but now it is time for making preparations for general elections, every party has to make preparations for elections adding that electoral alliance with N-League is now impossible. He said that political changes will come after the assemblies are dissolved and many alliances will be formed.
Ch Parvez Elahi said Nawab Sahib had said that after meeting with Ch Shujat Hussain electoral alliance between the two parties will be finalized and for this, Ch Shujat Hussain has come to meet Nawab Sahib.

Replying to a question, Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi said that Pakistan Muslim League is in favour of making of Bahawalpur province, Ch Parvez Elahi had voted in our support in the Assembly also, our alliance with Muslim League has existed from the beginning, Ch Shujat Hussain is his friend and he is very happy over his coming, after consultations with Ch Shujat Hussain, we have decided to give final touches to electoral alliance between the two parties
