Lahore: Chairperson Punjab Social Services Board, Saba Sadiq has said that female students should also take part in co-curricular along with curricular activities so that their mental capabilities could be promoted.
She was addressing as chief guest on the occasion of 51st Annual Sports Day of Government Home Economics College for Women Gulberg, here today. Principal of the college, Dr. Samea Kalsoom, teachers and a large number of students was present on the occasion. Saba Sadiq said that our girl students and women are talented and they have displayed outstanding performance in different sectors. She emphasized upon the students to make best utilization of their time and materialize the dreams envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam.
Saba Sadiq said that Punjab government has taken different steps for the welfare of the women especially Chief Minister’s Women Package 2012 is a new ray of hope and will have far-reaching impact. The sports ground was beautifully decorated with colourful flags and balloons. Besides march-past, the students showed best performance in different sports which was highly appreciated by the audience. Teachers and employees of the college also took an active part on the occasion. Later, the chief guest distributed prizes among the students showing excellent performance.
