A kid’s heart with hole successfully operated in Lahore

Lahore: A Paediatrics Cardiac Surgery Department has been set up at the Sharif Medical City, under the auspices of the Sharif Trust, where Paediatrics Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Abid Hussain conducted first successful operation of a seven years old girl, Sabeen Shahzadi.

This was disclosed by Chief Executive Officer of Sharif Medical City, Dr. Adnan Khan. He said there was a hole in the heart of seven years old girl patient, which has now been plugged through a successful operation. He informed that this operation was conducted free of cost, and the parents of the patient girl did not have to bear any expenditure. Dr. Adnan Khan further said that, as a result of the Pediatrics Cardiac Surgery Department, at the Sharif Medical City, people would not have to go abroad for treatment of their children, and would now be able to get quality and inexpensive treatment inside the country. He further said that second operation of similar nature would also be performed on Monday or Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Sharif Trust, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has sent a bouquet to the patient girl Sabeen Shahzadi, and prayed for her early recovery.
