Foreign Investors willing to invest in energy,security and IT sectors

Lahore: Foreign Investors from UK, Germany and United Arab Emirates have appreciated the good governance of Punjab government and showed their willingness to invest in energy, security and information technology sectors.

This was stated by Advisor Foreign Relations to Nawaz Sharif, Javed Malik who led two separate delegations of German and UAE based companies who called on Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and gave detailed proposals for investment in Punjab in sectors of energy, IT, security and infrastructure. A company of Dubai Pan Africa Solar Energy showed a keen interest to develop solar projects in south Punjab and has completed the initial work for starting a pilot project next month.

Later the delegations of the companies also met with Secretary Energy and discussed the implementation of their proposals. The companies also presented a unique model of self power generation, street lighting, security and CCTV facilities which would add value to community services and resolve the energy requirements for urban as well as remote areas.

Javed Malik later accompanied the potential investors for further meetings with officials of the government of Punjab including Secretary Energy, senior officials of the Punjab Energy department and also met with the Commissioner Lahore, Jawad Rafique Malik, and DCO Lahore Noor-ul-Ameen Mengal.

Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Foreign Relations, Javed Malik said that the good governance and leadership of Chief Minister Punjab according to the vision of the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif were, in fact, the main reasons that foreign investors are coming to Punjab, and he expressed the hope that soon after the elections when PMLN will form federal government, many more companies will be attracted to come to Pakistan. This is a tribute to the visionary leadership of Nawaz Sharif, he added.
