Green boxes to be placed at public places for collection of torn pages of Holy Quran

Lahore: A meeting of Punjab Quran Board presided over by its Chairman Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Sialvi was held at Awan-e-Auqaf. Chairman Quran Board was also present.

The samples of paper presented by the publishers were checked for ensuring printing of Holy Quran on quality paper and approval was given by the meeting for this purpose. The members of Quran Board expressed the view that error and omission-free printing of the Holy Quran is their prime responsibility. Approval was also given for placing of big green boxes in place of small boxes at public places and important highways for collection of torn and worn out pages of the Holy Quran. The meeting also reviewed performance of various committees.

Members of Quran Board, Ulema, Director General Religious Affairs Hassan Rizvi, Additional Secretary Information Department Tahir Raza Hamdani and senior officers of Home and Auqaf Departments attended the meeting.
