Traders will play important role in next general elections:Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said that traders community is a precious asset of PML, traders are our arms and they will play important role for our success in the next elections also, traders community wants law and order in the country and is backbone of the national economy, we have always given traders community great importance and it has also stood with us shoulder to shoulder in every difficult time, we are proud of these brothers and we will continue in future also the process of consulting them in important decisions.
He said this while addressing a big gathering on the occasion of Silver Jubilee celebrations of Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajraan and Golden Jubilee of Anjuman-e- Tajraan Muslim Bazar in Gujrat today. Former Provincial Education Minister Mian Imran Masood, President Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajraan Anwar Ali Shah, President Muslim Bazar Shafiq Ejaz Shakir and Irshad Ahmad also addressed the function. Traders leaders in their speeches said that Punjab Government is paying no attention to law and order, during its tenure crime incidence has increased many times as compared to the previous government, neither our houses nor our business are safe, daily more than 100 shops are being looted in the province, jewelers are in particular target of dacoits but criminals are not being apprehended and the Provincial Govt is doing nothing. Traders leaders begged the media in the name of Almighty Allah not to cover up shortcomings and faults of the the rulers of the Punjab and make them realize that their first duty is to protect the life and property of the people.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that we deeply respect traders community, PML has always given priority to their problems whereas it has boldly supported and up held the flag of Pakistan Muslim League and despite great opposition of the Federal and Provincial Govts had played important role in the success of Mian Imran Masood in Gujrat bye-election but unfortunately due to dishonesty of the Punjab Govt the seat we had won was snatched from us.

Ch Parvez Elahi expressed the confidence that traders community will continue to support us like this and we will foil the evil designs of the opponents adding that we will not allow the election results to be changed in the general elections. He said that N=League candidates are neither sincere with the people nor they have any concern with the peoples’ problems, they are only loyal to Jaati Umrah whereas what we did during our tenure of the Chief Minister ship of the Punjab for people from all walks of life particularly for the poor segments of the society is before everyone and we will also continue to serve the people in future also as a mission through proper planning and give record and ideal plans like we had done in the past. At the end of the function, Ch Parvez Elahi distributed shields among the traders’ representatives and Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajraan President Syed Anwar Ali Shah presented a shield to the Deputy Prime Minister.
