Special team confiscates one thousand packets of substandard suture material

Lahore: Special squad constituted by Punjab Chief Minister headed by Major (Retd) Mubashar Ullah raided the area of Lohari Gate and confiscated one thousand packets of substandard and unregistered suture material. The squad has arrested two persons namely Pervaiz Khan and Umer Javed along with suture material and initiated legal action against them.
According to details, such suture material is used for stitching internal organs of the patients and substandard material can cause an infection in the injuries and death to the patients. The raiding team included EDO Health Lahore Dr. Inam ul Haq, Drug Inspector and police officers of Police Station Lower Mall which took action against the persons involved in sale of substandard suture material and arrested the culprits on the spot.
