Rescue 1122 starts work in Chiniot

Lahore: With formal start of Rescue 1122 Services in District Chiniot, the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) has completed expansion to all Districts of Punjab. In Chiniot, Rescue Service was formally inaugurated by Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Dr. Rizwan Naseer and Moulana Ilyas Chinioti, MPA here today at Rescue Station Tehsil Chowk, Sargodha Road, Chiniot.

Rescue 1122 Service was started from Lahore as a small pilot project of emergency ambulance service in 2004. Expansion of the service was approved to other districts of Punjab after its third party evaluation as exemplary service in terms of training, quality care, response and professionalism. The Service was expanded to 12 major districts in first phase and remaining 24 districts in 2nd phase and expansion at Tehsil level is underway. After declaration of Chiniot as new District, work started for expansion of Service in Chiniot.

The Director General congratulated citizens of Chiniot for start of Rescue Service in their district and urged rescuers to maintain standards of service and earn respect & blessings of the public by maintaining courteous professional approach.

As many as 155 rescuers shall be providing emergency services in Chiniot along with 4 emergency ambulances, 2 fire vehicles, 1 rescue vehicle and 1 water bowser.
