Ch Shujaat condemns Police raid at former MPA Asghar Chaudhry’s house

Lahore: 29-01-2013: Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujaat Hussain has strongly condemned the incident of Punjab Police raid at the residence of former MPA and District Mandi Bahauddin Riaz Asghar Chaudhry, harassment of the family members and gross violation of “Chadar aur Chardeevari”.

In a statement issued here today, Ch Shujaat Hussain said that on Tuesday, entire Police Force of all Police Stations of Mandi Bahauddin along with Elite Force suddenly raided the house of his sister and forcibly entered the premises. Describing the incident as the worst example of rule through force, Ch Shujaat Hussain said that the rulers of the Punjab, under great influence of power, are using the Police for victimization of their political opponents instead of paying attention to control worst ever law and order situation in the province and increasing crime incidence of theft, dacoity and other heinous crime, rule of force has exposed the claim of democracy and tolerance in the Punjab. He said entering the house of gentle people and causing lawlessness is the biggest terrorism, Punjab Government’s poisonous steps has proved that they have not discarded the old habit of vengeance but they are not aware that the end of vindictive attitudes is always bad.
