Now Khadim e Alaa Relief card for flood affectees

Lahore: Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority Mujahid Sherdil has said that government of the Punjab has inaugurated Khadim e Alaa Relief card for families of flood affected areas during 2012. This rehabilitation initiative for flood affected families in Punjab was announced by Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif during his visit to flood hit areas in 2012.

The inauguration ceremony was held on January 6, 2013 at Rajanpur. He said that according to detail compensation is being given to 36,699 beneficiaries of Rajanpur District and 7,349 beneficiaries of District D.G.Khan. He said each beneficiary will be given Rs.20,000. The cards are being given to the families after the third party validation survey conducted by Lead Pakistan. The distribution of Khadim e Alaa Relief Card 2012 has been completed in Rajanpur whereas still in progress in D.G Khan. The distribution process is to be extended gradually to Jampur and Rojhan. Moreover, payment procedures facilities are being supported through Bank of Punjab.

Mujahid Sherdil said that total Khadim-e-Ala Relief Cards to be distributed in Tehsil Rajanpur are 7,434, Tehsil Jampur 5,566, Tehsil Rojhan 23,699 and District D.G.Khan 7,349. Till to-date, 8,100 beneficiaries have been given Khadim-e-Ala Relief Card at the cost of 162 million. According to details 4,380 cards were distributed in Tehsil Rajanpur at the cost of Rs. 75.1 million. Distribution is in progress in District D.G.Khan. Till to-date 3720 cards have been distributed in D.G.Khan at the cost of 74.4 million. Total Khadim-a-AlaRelief Cards distributed so far are 8100 at the cost of Rs. 162 million. Total Khadim-e-Ala Relief Cards to be distributed in district Rajanpur and D.G.Khan are 36,699 at the total cost of Rs. 733.98 million.
