Qadri put the lives of his followers at stake for politics:Senator Pervaiz Rasheed

Lahore: has said that Maulana Tahir ul Qadri had been confined in a closed street and it was not a matter of concern if he would have been stuck alone in a secure royal container but putting the lives of women and children at stake under an open sky during such a severe cold tantamount to an insult to humanity. He said that had Maulana Qadri been sincere to his mission, he would have been with his followers in this rainy and cold weather instead of staying in royal container or given the same facilities to his followers.

While talking to media, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed said saying this by Maulana Qadri that even a single flowerpot was not broken during long march is highly ridiculous as Tahir ul Qadri’s long march was for breaching the constitution and democratic system of the country and not for breaking flowerpots. He said that the brave people of Pakistan can bear the loss of breaking flowerpots but cannot tolerate breaching the constitution and democracy. He said that the long march was the worst demonstration of exploitation of those followers who have blind faith in Maulana Qadri. Senator Pervaiz Rashid said Tahir ul Qadri is fully aware of the rules of that country from where he came that if any man or woman bring children in a protest during such severe cold, the government immediately takes those children in its custody while puts that man or woman behind the bar.

Senator Pervaiz Rasheed said that Maulana Qadri was responsible for bringing his followers including innocent children, women and aged persons in unfavorable environment and put their lives at stake. He said that there are a number of constitutional provisions through which one can achieve his objective and Tahir ul Qadri should also had to adopt constitutional, democratic and legal way. He said that Tahir ul Qadri is a law graduate and claimed to be a teacher of law, therefore, it was better that he should give arguments in Supreme Court and get approved the reforms which he wanted to introduce.
