In his telephonic address on the death anniversary of martyr Fazil Raho in Badin, President Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that late the Fazil Raho spent all his life for the betterment of farmers of Sindh. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said whenever he has been provided an opportunity, he has always initiated the process of granting proprietary rights to the farmers, along with provision of fertilizers, seed, agricultural implements and tractors to growers. He said he could not join them because of inclement weather, otherwise he would have been with them to commemorate the anniversary of martyr Fazil Raho. He said the federal government should provide resources to farmers so that they can stand on their own feet, along with getting education and taking care of their health. President Pakistan Muslim League-N, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said it is the manifesto of his party and the same mission which was that of the late Fazil Raho. He said had the work he initiated continued and his government not overthrown, there would have been no rampant poverty, and neither the children have been without schools, nor the patients without medicines, nor the young persons would have to rely on bribery and ‘safarish’ to get a job.
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said only eight weeks are left for holding of the general elections, and time is nearing when the citizens would be able to change their destiny with their own hands. He said the mandate of the present government of five years would end in the middle of March, and it is good news that we will get rid of incompetent and useless rulers, for which there is no need for any long march as we have got it written in the constitution. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that he has always urged to follow the constitution because the constitution has that methodology in which if someone does not serve the people, they can change him with their own hands.
President Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that March would prove to be quick march of the present rulers and the people would form their own new government within 60 days. He said that the constitution of Pakistan is providing people an opportunity to get rid of that government which has not solved their problems, has snatched electricity and gas from them and failed to provide them education, medicines, neither it has provided them peace and employment. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that people would form the new government through their votes, and if they utilize their votes well, they would get a new government which would not think of its own self, and stuff its own pockets, rather will be a government which will construct roads, schools, hospitals and remove shortage of electricity and gas. He said that it is the might of democracy that those who do not serve the people would have to present themselves before the court of the people, who pass a final judgment on them. However, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said, those who cannot win elections are afraid of the power of votes, want to rule without serving and are afraid of that constitution which provides security against incompetent rulers. He said such elements want to bring change, not through votes but through sit-in.
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that, we struggled for the right of vote of the people during difficult times, in jails and to exiles. He said what type of a leader he is who himself is sitting in a safe, comfortable and bulletproof container, but innocent children, weak women and old persons are sitting on the roads in cold nights. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that if such a person has real pain for the people, he should announce that he himself would also spend night on a cold road, otherwise he should take pity and let the people go home, instead of putting them in the jaws of death. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that we have ourselves borne the pain for the right of vote of the people, but have never bothered the people for it. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif called upon the nation to utilize its right of vote change, prosperity, peace, progress, medical care, education, employment, and to get rid of the incompetent rulers.
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif assured the nation that the power of vote is more forceful, than any sit-in or a long march, therefore, they must utilize their power of vote, which will bring about a day of progress, prosperity and development in the country, and the darkness of pain would end. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif ended his speech by raising slogans: ‘Jiay Sindh’, ‘Jiay Kissan’ and ‘Jiay Pakistan’.
