Lahore: Rich homage was paid to the former Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Qazi Husain Ahmed, and senior JI leader, Prof. Ghafoor Ahmed, at the references held in their memory in Japan, Denmark, and Norway according to reports reaching here.
The Grand Mufti of Oman, Al-Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamd al Khalili, in his condolence message, said that the demise of Qazi Husain Ahmed was a great loss for the Muslim world. The Tanzeem e Islami, Denmark, held a reference in memory of Qazi Husain Ahmed, which was attended by prominent citizens and the Muslim community of the city. The Tanzeem chief, Denmark, Farooq Azam Rathore, in his address, said that Qazi Husain Ahmed was the upholder of the Truth. Renowned scholar of Denmark, Dr Fawad Al Barazi, said in the death of Qazi Husain Ahmed, the Muslim world had lost an optimist leader.
The Islamic Circle of Norway also held a meeting in memory of Qazi Husain Ahmed. Mian Waqas Hamid, and other Pakistanis, attended.
Meanwhile, Qazi Husain Ahmed’s arrived at Mansoora today, and a meeting in memory of Qazi Husain Ahmed was at the Mansoora mosque. The JI leaders expressed their condolences with Asif Luqman Qazi.
