Female judges are more devoted to their duty:Justice Sheikh Najam ul Hasan

Lahore:Justice Sheikh Najam ul Hasan of Lahore High Court has said that female judges and lawyers are proving their worth by dint of hard and honest work in judicial hierarchy of the Province. Rather they are more devoted to their duty as compared to their male counterparts.
He was addressing a concluding ceremony of Capacity Building Training Course designed for female Civil Judges at Punjab Judicial Academy. Mr. Ashtar Ausaf, Advocate General Punjab and Mr. Sardar Ahmad Naeem, Registrar Lahore High Court also attended the ceremony.
Hon’ble judge said that female judges and lawyers are not lacking in knowledge and commitment in any manner in the judiciary. Justice Sheikh asked the female judges to develop in them an attitude of quick decision making, the most important tool in system of dispensation of justice. He said LHC started training the female judges prior to male ones in Punjab Judicial Academy as some of their colleagues in field were facing problems in the discharge of their duties.

He said that there were total 125 female civil judges in the Punjab and with the passing out of this batch about 100 civil judges have successfully completed their capacity building course. Participant judges of the present course are from the remote areas of the Punjab including Rahimyar Khan, Vehari Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan Districts etc. Female litigants feel convenience in appearing before female judges and women folk of these areas will surely benefit from expertise and skills gained by the judges from the Academy.
Director General Punjab Judicial Academy, Mr. Justice (R) Tanvir Ahmad Khan and a representative of trainee judges, Miss Raheela Omer also spoke on the occasion.
The participants of the course include Raheela Omer, Ghazala Yasmeen, Nadia Siddique Asad, Saima Riasat, Aisham-Bint-e-Sadiq, Effaf Aslam, Zaira Manzoor Malik, Misbah Hussain, Shazia Kausar, Tahira Shahzad Khan, Rukhsana Amin, Misbah Asghar, Rabia Riaz, Farzana, Saima Husnain, Sadia Luqmani, Mehnaz Hayat, Nazia Rashid, Sarwat Batool, Fauzia Afzal, Gulshan Hayat and Abida Kharal.
