Treatment facilities to the animals would be provided at the owners doorstep

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Malik Ahmad Ali has directed the officers of the department to provide treatment facilities to the animals located in the vicinity of 10km around the farms besides providing them awareness for protection of livestock on modern lines.

He issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting to review the activities of Livestock & Dairy Development Department, here today. Secretary Livestock Muhammad Irfan Elahi, Director General (Extension) Dr. Muhammad Nawaz Saeed and directors of the department were present. On the occasion, Malik Ahmad Ali reviewed the pace of on-going and completed projects and issued necessary instructions for making the farms of livestock department more profitable. He said that besides research, the department can also earn a huge amount by selling animals, crops and milk etc. He said that by keeping in view the fixed targets, Farm Superintendents should increase the income sources.
