Lahore: Ex-Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has said that loadshedding of gas and electricity has badly damaged the industries and industry being shutt down while thousand of labour is jobless now. He said that the largest Kot Lakhpat Industrial Estate is without sui gas from the last 25 days and 400 industrial units has been closed. He said that both governments are responsible for compelling people on sui cides. He said that Federal remained failed to overcome energy crises while Punjab Government did not produce one mega watt after 18th Amendment and remained busy on spending national exchequer on the flop projects. He said that in the present state of affairs decision of trading with India will further destroy industry and new trade agreeemnt would be death warrant for the national industrial units.
The delegation was headed by Nasrullah Moghal Chairman Township Industrial Association while Anees Qadri, Amer Bashir Khan and Mian Khurran Ilyas also represented their trader organisations. They briefed Abdul Aleem Khan about the deteriorating state of affairs especially in Kot Lakhpat Industrial Esatates. They said that now all the hopes are with Tehrik-e-Insaaf and Imran Khan to bring out the nation from the crises. Abdul Aleem Khan assured them that after coming in power PTI would solve the nergy issues on the priority basis and take steps to produce more power for the industry.
