British High Commissioner met with Shafqat Mahmood

Lahore: British High Commissioner in Islamabad Adam Thomson met with Central Information Secretary Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Shafqat Mahmood on December 6th, 2012, at his residence. Talking on the occasion they discussed ways to enhance relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.

They also discussed bilateral cooperation at international fore. They agreed that the two countries should coordinate closely to promote peace and development. Mr. Shafqat Mahmood during meeting said that PTI attaches great importance to Pakistan’s relations with the UK as a friend and a genuine development partner.

They also spoke about PTIs vision for the nation. “PTI is determined is determined to provide a credible new leadership that can restore the country’s economic and political sovereignty,” said Mr Shafqat Mahmood. Mr. Thomson also expressed his views regarding the upcoming elections saying that, “The electorate is impatiently waiting for free and fair elections to be held in time.”

“PTI polls would provide the country a new and thriving political tradition which had been overlooked by leaders of the so-called major political parties, “added Mr Shafqat Mahmood. Expressing satisfaction over the progress made so far regarding the ties between the two countries, Mr Thomson said that, “Our common resolve should be to comprehensively upgrade our relationship”.
