Shahbaz asks Zardari to return billions of rupees of public money

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has demanded of Zardari to return the billions of rupees of the nation looted by him otherwise nation will itself recover this amount from him. He said that a dacoity of Rs.70 billions was committed in Punjab Bank during previous era and PML-N government recovered millions of rupees of the nation from looters by bringing them back from Dubai. He said that like Lahore, rapid transport system will also be launched in Rawalpindi after next elections. The Chief Minister said that Pir Wadai Mor underpass and flyover costing Rs.1.5 billion will be completed within next three months.

He was addressing a public meeting after laying foundation stone of Pir Wadai Mor underpass and flyover project and inaugurating extension project of Chuhar Chowk at Rawalpindi Cantt, today. Senators Pervaiz Rashid, Begum Najma Hameed, Members National Assembly Malik Ibrar, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Begum Tahira Aurangzeb, Dr. Tariq Fazal, Members Provincial Assembly Ch. Ayaz, Malik Iftikhar, Shaheryar Riaz, Ziaullah Shah, Malik Ghulam Raza, Raja Hanif Advocate, Sardar Naseem, office-bearers and workers of PML-N and a large number of people were present on this occasion. Former Vice Chairman of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board Hafiz Hussain Ahmad announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-N on this occasion.

Addressing the public meeting, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government of PML-N under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif has implemented development projects costing billions of rupees during four and a half years. He said that roads, flyovers, underpasses, buildings of hospitals, schools and colleges have been constructed. The Chief Minister said that these projects have been completed with round the clock hardwork and honesty during four and a half years and if any person points out corruption of even a single penny in these projects, he will be responsible for it.

Shahbaz Sharif asked the people to elect Nawaz Sharif as prime minister in coming general elections and reject the corrupt people, thieves and thugs. He said that corrupt rulers have committed corruption of billions of rupees in fertilizers and corruption has been made in every sector. The chief minister said that PML-N government is completing rapid bus system in Lahore with an amount of Rs.30 billion whereas former rulers had prepared feasibility of this project and estimated its cost at 200 billion rupees for the purpose of corruption. Shahbaz Sharif said that PML-N government with the assistance of Turk brethren is completing rapid transport system in Lahore within a record period of eleven months whereas Turks had completed such a project in Istanbul in two years.

The Chief Minister said that there is no dearth of resources and capable persons and there is only lack of determination. He said that if the rulers had courage, the country would not have been plunged into darkness today. Shahbaz said that if Zardari did not return the trillions of rupees looted by him, the nation knows how to take back this money. He disclosed that a cardiac hospital has been completed at a cost of Rs.3 billion in Rawalpindi which will soon become functional whereas Chandni Chowk Flyover has been completed with an amount of Rs.1.25 billion. Similarly, work on urology hospital and sixth road flyover is continuing speedily and Punjab government has provided billions of rupees for these mega projects, he added. Members national assembly, Malik Ibrar Ahmad, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi and PML-N leader Sardar Naseem also addressed on this occasion and thanked the Punjab Chief Minister for completing development projects of billions of rupees in Rawalpindi. They expressed the hope that PML-N will achieve success with two-third majority in coming elections and implement the public welfare projects vigorously.
