Syed Munawar Hasan warned against military operation in .He said that anarchy and unrest was being created in the country under a plan to provide the US an excuse for take over of the country’s nuclear assets. Instability was being created through the Interior Minister Rehman Malik, and the masses would have to rise to foil this conspiracy.

The JI Ameer said that both the federal and the provincial government had looted the masses with both hands and the people should avail the next elections for bringing about a positive change. He said that on one hand, Washington had announced pull out from Afghanistan by the year 2014, while on the other hand, the US and India had signed an agreement for the presence of US military bases and troops in the land locked country. He said the US should realize that it had been defeated in Afghanistan and the Afghans alone the right to decide their future.

Syed Munawar Hasan told the people of Bannu that the parties they had voted in the last election had given them the gifts of lawlessness and thrown the country into a war to please the US.He further said that the Islamic Shariat could be enforced by selfless and devoted people like Sirajul Haq and Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim and not Akram Durrani.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof, Ibrahim announced that in case the government decided for military operation in North Waziristan, the JI would launch a movement against that.

The JI provincial Secretary, Shabbir Ahmed Khan, said it would have been better for the JUI (F) chief, Maulana Fazlur Rahman to have raised voice of righteousness in the National Assembly following in the footsteps of his late father Maulana Mufti Mehmud, but he preferred to join the Zardari camp to pursue personal interests. He further said that the ANP leader Asfand Yar Wali too was a party to Zardari’s politics of loot and plunder.
