Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, called on the chief of the Ja’mia Ahsan ul Uloom, Karachi, Mufti Zar Wali, on Tuesday, and expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of students of the institution recently at the hands of the terrorists. He was accompanied by the JI Karachi chief, Muhammad Husain Mehnati and Secretary JI Karachi, Naseem Siddiqui.
At the meeting, Syed Munawar Hasan discussed the matters of mutual interest besides the unity of the Muslim world as also the Karachi situation.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Munawar Hasan said that the religious Madrissahs were being targeted for quite some time. The anti Pakistan elements were continuously taking steps to fan sectarian hatred. He said that the mosques and Madrissahs were the fortresses of Islam. He said the propaganda against these and the targeting of Madrissah students was the US agenda. However, he said the Ulema and religious forces won’t be cowed down by such tactics and the propagation of the message of Islam would be continued under all circumstances.
Syed Munawar Hasan said it was being propagated that the Madrissa students were violent and extremists, but the conduct of the students had believed all such allegations. He demanded immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the murders of the students of the Jamia Ahsan ul Uloom.
